Characteristics of an Effective Educator

I believe an effective educator is a person who can engage his or her students in ones subject area; yet also bring the sort of passion that the educator feels towards his or her subject. As a future educator I hope to succeed in bringing not only my own passions about the subject I teach into the classroom but also cultivate my students passions and talents throughout the learning process. As an effective educator one should not only teach on ones subject but also incorporate other subjects to give students a more rounded idea of the subject area. In addition to these characteristics, I encourage students to tie the subject back to modern day scenarios and be able to apply it to their lives.
